Here, it's summer all year round!
Sunshine is constant for 3/4 of the year with a short rainy season of around 4 months between February and the end of May.
The welcome is very warm as is the climate which offers a temperature of 28 to 35° and water of 29° all year round.
On site, you will find everything you need: pharmacy, shops, food and also numerous restaurants offering very good quality cuisine.
Be careful though, the village does not have a bank. The vast majority of businesses accept the card, but it is better to go there with a little cash just in case!
Icarai de Amontada
Icaraí de Amontada, more commonly known as Icaraizinho, is a small fishing village located in the northeast of Brazil in the state of Céara.
Halfway between Fortaleza and Jericoacoara, Icaraizihno offers a 7 km bay still preserved from massive construction and mass tourism .
The wind conditions are optimal for Kitesurfing, and the different spots allow safe practice for all levels.
How to get to Icaraizinho?
Icaraizinho is located 200 km from Fortaleza and getting there couldn't be simpler !
The best access is the CE -085 road which allows you to arrive with any car to the village.
It takes on average 3 hours to make the trip.
By car
You will find car rental agencies (localiza) at Fortaleza airport .
By bus
Bus travel in Brazil requires a little patience but is economical!
From the Fortaleza bus station you will take a first bus towards Amontada then from the Amontada bus station a second bus towards Icaraizinho.
The journey takes approximately 5 to 6 hours.
By Transfer
The fastest and most efficient option that many travelers use to get from the airport to the Icarai Kite Village pousada is the private transfer.
With or without your kitesurfing equipment, travel with a private driver day or night.

Flights
Many companies serve the Northeast of Brazil from Europe:
– The Portuguese company LA TAP provides regular connections from Lisbon to Fortaleza (7 hours direct flight)
– The AIRFRANCE company provides Paris-Fortaleza connections (live)
Formalities:
Any French, Belgian or Swiss national can enter Brazil with a passport with a minimum validity of six months.
Vaccines: No vaccinations are required for travelers arriving from Europe.
Personal pharmacy:
– Very effective anti-mosquito cream, especially during the rainy season (from March to June)
– Wound disinfectant
– Set bandage, plaster, scissors.
Insurance
We advise you to take out repatriation assistance insurance. (If you paid for your plane ticket with your Visa card, you are currently insured – you can find out more about this from your bank).
To plan for your trip:
– Photocopies of the insurance certificate
– Cash (euros or dollars) and your bank card. Change can be done at the airport upon arrival. Most tourist places will take international Visa and Mastercard.
– Driving license (The French license works in Brazil)
– Personal pharmacy (see paragraph above)
– Sun protection (cap, cream, glasses)
– Light clothes, swimsuit, a raincoat in case of rain, warm clothes for the bus (Brazilians don’t joke with air conditioning!)
– A pair of comfortable shoes and flip-flops
– Plastic bags to seal your belongings (clothes, cameras, etc.)
